My Therapeutic Approach
I place importance on developing a strong therapeutic relationship with you; a relationship that encompasses clear communication and healthy expression of emotion.
I'm down to earth, and I do a good job of making people feel at ease. I do enjoy using sarcasm and humor where therapeutically appropriate. I especially enjoy working with clients who don't know where to begin or what to talk about.
My approach is active and direct. I won't let your non-verbal communication go unnoticed, and I will compassionately call you out on actions that contradict your values. I use an engaged style with powerful, evidence-based methods like EMDR and PRT to help you get to the root of the issue.
A Little More About Me
I was born in Poland, migrated to Chicago in 1994 and moved to Austin in 2020. In my free time I wonder what's for dinner and whether my laundry can wait another day. I also spend time with my 3 cats and 1 dog, explore Texas with my husband, try new recipes, and sometimes dabble in painting or creative home projects. I have three sisters and seven nieces and nephews. I'm curious about dreams. I often journal my own dreams and try to interpret their meaning, and I enjoy helping others make sense of their dreams.
I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by good company and delicious food. I really enjoy meeting new people by interacting with my community, and I look forward to meeting you!
